A former public relations staffer for Turning Point USA (TPUSA) has publicly claimed she was unjustly fired and has raised pointed questions about the organization’s internal climate and leadership transition.
Aubrey Laitsch, who joined the conservative youth organization’s PR team in 2021, was dismissed in January. In a detailed video statement, Laitsch contested the grounds for her termination. She stated that during a meeting with executives, she was confronted with an allegation stemming from an unverified second-hand account. According to Laitsch, management cited a claim from an Uber driver, who reportedly heard from a driver’s daughter—a friend of a disgruntled employee—that the organization was “going downhill” and that its leader was unpopular.
Laitsch firmly denied being the source of any such criticism. She emphasized her long-standing professional relationship with the organization’s current CEO, noting she has known her since 2013 and had no personal grievances.
Beyond defending herself, Laitsch voiced deeper concerns. She suggested her dismissal may be connected to her private questions surrounding the official narrative of the September 2025 assassination of the group’s co-founder, Charlie Kirk. “What is being told to us… just really doesn’t add up to me,” she stated, aligning with broader skepticism expressed by some external commentators about the circumstances of Kirk’s death.
Laitsch also described a demanding work environment, particularly in the immediate aftermath of the co-founder’s murder. She recounted working extensive overtime, going 48 hours without sleep during memorial events, and yet facing reprimands for perceived insufficiencies in support.
In her statement, Laitsch framed her decision to speak out as a difficult but necessary act of conscience. “I’m not here to be bitter. I’m here to be honest,” she said, adding that the video marked the start of her effort to “tell the truth” about her experiences and her observations of employee treatment and the group’s direction.
The allegations come amid reports of other recent departures from TPUSA, though the organization has not publicly commented on Laitsch’s specific claims or the reasons for her departure.
