The loved ones of an 84-year-old woman are enduring what one close friend describes as a “living nightmare,” as the search for her enters its fifth day under troubling circumstances.
The woman was reported missing after failing to attend church services on Sunday morning. She was last seen by family members the previous evening. Authorities have since declared her residence a crime scene after the discovery of evidence, including blood, outside her home.
In a public plea shared online, the woman’s three adult children addressed the situation directly. They emphasized their mother’s fragile health and urgent need for medication, stating the family is prepared to cooperate for her safe return. However, they also expressed caution, urging for verifiable proof of life.
“Please, reach out to us,” one of the children implored in the emotional message. “We are ready to listen.”
The friend, who identified herself as a longtime companion, called the ordeal “heartbreaking” and “torture” for the family, reflecting the profound distress shared by those close to her.
Federal investigators have confirmed that a substantial reward is now being offered for information that leads to her recovery or to the arrest of those responsible. A special agent stated that teams are working around the clock on the case, which is being treated as a suspected abduction.
In her final public words to her mother, one of the children offered a message of faith and determination: “We will not rest until we are together again.” The community and authorities continue their urgent search.
